Quote of the Day

Hmmm, no need for questions, actions build trust and speak louder than words...

"You're going to hear a lot of things that are similar. The question is, who can you trust?"

Arizona State Treasurer Dean Martin, on the differences between himself and the other Republican gubernatorial candidates

No, It Wasn't April Fools Day

"My concern is...the whole island will become so overly populated that it will tip over and capsize..."

This video of US Congress Representative Hank Johnson (D Ga 4th Dist), sounding like a fool during a House Armed Services Committee Meeting on March 26, 2010, questioning Admiral Robert Willard was released on April Fools Day. The topic was the stationing of an additional 5000 marines (and associated family and other military branch personal, including my nephew) on Guam, an American territory.

Rep. Johnson replaced another standard liberal Democrat "nutcase," Rep. Cynthia McKinney, infamous for her confrontation with Capitol Hill Police in 2006 because she was not instantly recognized as a congresswoman and allowed to bypass security procedures. The taxpayers pay US Congresspersons $174,000 a year for carrying out their duties and responsibilities.

I defy anyone to mock Arizona for it's elected representatives, when it appears the entire nation is glutted with people of this caliber all across the country. It is a sad commentary on where we are with the political class including elected representatives, appointed officials and agency bureaucrats on all levels.
