I would not be the slightest bit surprised to find out that Mr. Sheen's "outrageous actions" of late (and I find what I know of them to be more boring than outrageous, which fits all previous thoughts I had about the man pretty much to a T) are nothing but completely planned media concoctions offered to direct most of us away from anything that matters.

I think the Japanese earthquake and tsunami are horrific things brought about by nature. I have nothing but sympathy for the people who have died in them and the people who remain to live with the devastation. I ask, though: when is the last time from any major media outlet showed the slightest concern for Haiti...or even mentioned the fact that a BROKE country has wars going on in two countries?

News is nothing but the flavor of the day. I like to think it wasn't always that way but I have the feeling that if the technology had been available, it would've been the same throughout history. Keep the people off guard when you can't give them some immediate thing to feel sympathy with, and vice versa.

I'm thinking of the whole Industrial/Military complex idea. I'm not saying there's no truth to that, but I worry more about the Government/Media Complex. A lot more.

And fiat money. And other things.

Luckily it's almost Spring!

Exceptionally good post, JR. I'm sorry that as usual I just keep talking and never actually respond to your posts but I hope it's OK. They make me think, and you can't beat that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
