Not by a lo...No…you are not alone in your thoughts. Not by a long shot.

Your comment is very moving in a way that my honest response is a hearty "Hell yeah!" It states in a very succinct, strong and emotional-in-a-good-way what I and a lot of people around here think. It's difficult to come up with an eloquent response because you've said it all and underlined it too.

It doesn’t surprise me that some people I've known a long time that have advocated an all-out "kick all the bums out" revolution since the nineties, are now more firmly convicted in that idea. What is catching me off guard is the number of rather average go-along people that although on the exterior they still interact with the world as usual, now privately talk seriously about the same thing, just as you have here and are really angry.

I haven't blogged on what I'm about to write in this comment but an honest comment on my blog deserves an honest response.

I believe our current political, bureaucrat and business class are placeholders and are in for the surprise of their lives, sooner than they think. I have no idea what we are going to get: a revolution, civil war or civil disobedience that makes that sixties look like cakewalks or how fundamental change is going to happen but I believe it is coming. I do know that economic conditions and government intervention are getting worse and it's already beginning to rapidly deteriorate, marking the beginning of some sort of breakdown.

The conditions for a fundamental change, that will not be pretty since socialists won’t go down without a fight, already is set in motion. The opposition’s primary organization is unions and these are mindless robotic people with followers that have brains of rock. There is no choice but to stone them. Add to them all the Non-Governmental Agency people and we have a fight on our hands. This is why my blog is mainly about maintaining a strong disposition through difficult times because we need guts to get to the other side.

When a regular guy like me in Arizona, gets over a 1000 hits on a video posted only a few weeks ago, about the “2011 Mortgage Tsunami,” something is going on. I don’t usually generate that kind of views. It is small things like that which make me believe people are getting it and getting it quickly.

You’re absolutely dead on with this statement:

“I feel like we've allowed a group of seemingly-congenial burglars into our homes...and they've filled up their bags of whatever cool stuff we had and are now joking around and asking for directions to the neighbor's house.”

Repeat…NO, you are NOT alone. Thanks for reading, commenting, adding to the dialog and support.JR Snyder Jrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09825473115986190389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6421367977598373300.post-27029035497110933562011-01-25T18:35:55.937-07:002011-01-25T18:35:55.937-07:00...I just read this back and wanted to clarify tha......I just read this back and wanted to clarify that my words about "play nice" were about the pabulum spewed by the press, not anything I read in your post. I'm sure it's obvious but I have to say it anyway, being eternally long-winded.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6421367977598373300.post-32145170959587665052011-01-25T18:31:22.430-07:002011-01-25T18:31:22.430-07:00I am tempted to listen to President Obama's sp...I am tempted to listen to President Obama's speech tonight, although I am in my heart certain that to do so would be a masochistic act. This has less to do with Obama than it does me; I just can't listen to the things without getting upset. Republican, Democrat, doesn't matter.

That said, there is nothing in this man's actions of the last two years that leads me to believe that the situation we are in doesn't please him to no end. He is at heart a political socialist, which is to say he has the desire to redistribute other people's money. You are absolutely right in saying that this country has taken a huge fall, JR. This president, in two years, has seemingly done everything he could to grow governmental power over individual liberty. He (and I must add that he has had PLENTY of Congressional and, I suspect, Judicial help) has basically assigned GM, GE, The banks and their mortgage operations to the direction of the government. He has decided that offshore drilling must cease, although you haven't heard anything about the BP spill in the headlines for a while.

Here's the thing, and it's a personal feeling but I don't think I'm alone: I feel like we've allowed a group of seemingly-congenial burglars into our homes...and they've filled up their bags of whatever cool stuff we had and are now joking around and asking for directions to the neighbor's house.

I give them no credit for doing what's right for our country, and I wish nothing but failure upon BOTH sides of this government until it starts acting in the interests of the people who pay for all of us to live here, whether with their money or with their lives in its defense. And no amount of talk or trying to convince me that everyone but me says they want them to "play nice" will change that. Government is not a playground; the last thing I want is my representatives getting along with burglars.

I guess I don't remotely understand what they are all up to but I am certain they are up to something and I resent them trying to push this "civility" crap by me as a smokescreen.

And yet I remain hopeful. Who'd have guessed? :)

Another great post, JR! Sorry I killed so much bandwidth rambling about it but it struck a nerve. Always a good thing, really. Thank you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
