Once the pretense at s...Glad to see you here Mike.

Once the pretense at shock from the media is passing over, it becomes more and more evident that more people think like us than don't...whether they're 100 or 1000 miles away. What a great way to put it: these people find our lives humorous. I get the sense that sooner rather than later the joke will be on them.

I'm amazed that when I wrote this blog that video had about 10,000 views and now is at 450,000. Gov. Brewer has been cast as "not up to the job" since she inherited it from now Secy of HHS Napolitano, our former Governor who resigned to go be with Obama. There were stronger contenders for the Republican primary to be elected as Governor but this has changed a lot of people's opinion of her, including mine.

We'll see what happens next. What I love about Arizona is we're considered somewhat a backwater, being the 48th state and all, but we always seem to be in the midst of some wild events and vivid characters. Never a dull moment!JR Snyder Jrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09825473115986190389noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6421367977598373300.post-29961383757999821362010-05-09T16:11:32.021-07:002010-05-09T16:11:32.021-07:00Hey JR...it took me a while to get to the website ...Hey JR...it took me a while to get to the website but I made it.

I don't know what the media is saying about people like me (probably that we're thousands of miles away and so we don't get it) but all the people I know support your governor for protecting your state when the federal government has refused to. I find it interesting that a senator from my beloved NY, Charles Schumer, has apparently asked Gov. Brewer to put off enacting the legislation for a year. I assume he fears the law's success, which I guess would make people think about states' rights and once again utterly confound the federal gov't. with reason and precedent.

There's a reason they call it the United STATES. You know that; I just had to say it.

I was brought up (like you were) to respect the presidency. There have been plenty of times when I disagreed with whomever was in office, and it never came down to party lines. It was just what seemed right to me opposing what seemed wrong.

These people find our lives humorous. Whether it's Barack Obama mocking Arizona or Jones the whatever secretary telling the Jewish/al Queda joke they don't speak for me.

I know I was out of work for a long time about ten years ago and I headed to the orchards (think apple subsidies) and there were a lot of hispanics there and no "help wanted" signs. I wondered how they found out about the jobs before I did. I still wonder.

Cool blog, man!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
